This month I was back in UK. It was a busy time for various reasons, but I was able to get out one evening with my camera in the city where I grew up, Lichfield in Staffordshire. Lichfield is located roughly 15 miles north of Birmingham and is a city by royal charter. It is probably best known for its three-spired Cathedral and being the birthplace of Samuel Johnson who wrote the first dictionary in the English language. Lichfield has retained much of its charm and is one of the more picturesque spots in the region. The recent recession hit Lichfield as it did the region in general, but it seems to be on the up with plenty of new development underway. The first shot below is taken from Stowe Pool looking back towards the Cathedral with the boathouse in the foreground. This was then converted to B&W in Silver Efex Pro2.

This next shot of the Cathedral was taken from Beacon Park looking back over the lake.

The final shot below is looking back over Minster Pool close to the Cathedral which is just out of shot to the left of the frame.
