This months blog is about Windsor and our Queen at 90!

Windsor Castle
Our home in the UK is just over an hour by car to the South of Windsor and although we have lived here in the UK off and on for the last 60 years this was our first visit to this town which lies to the West of London and directly on the flight path into London Heathrow.

Windsor Royal Station
The centre piece of this historic town is Windsor Castle. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century the castle is the backdrop for this historic town. Our visit coincided with the Queen's 90th birthday on our first day and the arrival of Barack Obama on the second. In truth we had booked this overnight break before we realised there would be a clash. Hence the crowd barriers and the abundance of people in some of the shots.

Guild Hall
We stayed overnight at the Union Inn in Old Windsor which we would certainly recommend for their evening meals and breakfast!
Due to logistics this month all the photographs in this blog were taken on my Nikon P7000 and edited in Snapseed on the iPhone 6S+
