This is going to be a short blog as this month has been brutally hectic. I flew back to the UK at the beginning of April for a mixture of holiday and work. Our daughter’s wedding took place at Thornbury Golf Club near Bristol where the above shot was taken on my iPhone using the slow shutter App. Ive been really impressed with this App for long exposures and some more impressionistic photography.

The shot above was made whilst I contemplated the speech I was going to give later at our daughters wedding.

This next shot was made in Staplefield Park in Bristol on my D800, converted to B&W and edited on the iPad Pro using Snapseed.

Following some leave around Easter and trip to see family and friends in the Midlands I headed up to London from our home in Sussex for a week at our head office. There was very little time for photography other than the Sunday afternoon on my first day which also coincided with the London Marathon. I did not have time to get close to the runners so I've no photographs that I’d be happy to share here. But I did manage to grab this one as i walked over Waterloo Bridge.

They next two photographs lent themselves to Black and White and these have been edited in Lightroom. We flew back to Washington at the end of April but only had a couple of nights before leaving for Chicago where I was attending a conference. I am now back in Washington with no more trips planned until July when we will make a quick visit back to the UK once again.
