The subject of this months blog is a little closer to home. At this time of the year appropriately dressed Dickens enthusiasts, street performers and some rather strange looking individuals who I now know to be "Steam Punk" characters descend on Rochester in Kent to celebrate the life and times of Charles Dickens.

The festival is well supported and centres around Rochester Castle, the Cathedral and the Main Street along which the main procession travels through this Medway town.
