The River Wye from Symonds Yat Rock
I managed to grab a couple of weeks leave this month during which we spent 4 nights in the Forrest of Dean staying in a log cabin at Whitemead. We hadn’t been back to the area since our first visit in 1982! The weather was great but I didn’t seem to grab any sunrise or golden hour shots, again!
The Forest of Dean is a geographical, historical and cultural region located in the western part of the county of Gloucestershire in England. It forms a triangular plateau bounded by the River Wye to the west and northwest, Herefordshire to the north, the River Severn to the south, and the City of Gloucester to the east. The Forest is one of the remaining ancient woodlands in England.
We visited Symonds Yat and Symonds Yat Rock, the Dean Forest Steam Railway and a few of the local Inns as one does.
All the photographers here were shot on my Sony A6500 and edited in Lightroom.
