Grand Palais in the evening sun

With lockdown restrictions easing and travel within Europe to some destinations possible, at least for now, I was able to get over to Paris to visit one of the projects I have been managing remotely these last few months. I didn't take my camera as I was travelling as light as possible so what you see here are all iPhone 6S+ photographs and edited in Lightroom Classic. I would normally take the Eurostar to Paris but to avoid as much exposure to others as possible I decided to fly from London Gatwick, which is about 25 minutes by car from where we live in West Sussex. The airport was virtually empty, so different from what I am used to. I was left thinking if only it was always this easy to move around! It was a short 45 minute flight to Charles de Gaulle airport and then a 30 minute taxi ride into the centre of Paris. I returned the same way two days later. It was good to be travelling again but who knows if it will last?

The view from the ZO restaurant on the corner of Rue Duras and Rue Montalivet. This is usually a bustling street at this time of the evening as Bugsy's a popular bar is just around the corner - but now deserted.
