Abbots Leigh
With lockdown continuing here in the UK throughout February my options were a bit limited. However I took my Sony A6500 out on a Sunday afternoon in late February to see what I could find whilst taking my permitted exercise for the day.

Spring in the grounds of Abbots Leigh
We are fortunate to live close to open countryside which can be reached within a short 5 minute walk of our front door. I headed East from our house along the path then crossing the A272 before rejoining the path that has been recently refurbished by our local council. From here it’s only a few minutes until you reach Abbots Leigh. Abbots Leigh house was built in 1892 by an aide of Queen Victoria. The facade in the first photograph above is visible from the path which borders the estate. Walking past the house and over the turnstile into Dobsons Wood you eventually meet Slugwash Lane, turn left and within a few minutes you can pick up the public footpath on your right which will take you across the fields towards Scaynes Hill. On your left you will pass a chainsaw carving venture which I believe to be the workshop for sussexchainsaw.com

After walking across the field I picked up Ham Lane Path for a while before heading back the way I had came as the going was fairly muddy and was a challenge in places. All the images here were shot on the Sony A6500 and edited in Lightroom.
