Page Park in the Staple Hill area of Bristol was donated to the people of Staple Hill by Arthur William Page, the same year he was elected Alderman of the county of Gloucestershire.
The land was formed on what was originally part of the Hill House estate. Nineteen acres of land from the estate were set aside for the park which was officially opened on 14 December 1910. The pavilion in the centre of the Park is known locally as the Clock Tower because of the four-faced clock on its roof.
I went to the park the day after Boxing Day with our daughter and two grand daughters plus “Willow” their Bullador hoping to get something for this months blog as time was running out!
There was a dead tree on the perimeter path which had several types of fungi. I didn’t have a macro lens with me but I was satisfied with these shots from my Sony A6500 with the 16-70mm f4.
